[TechAssist] RCA ctc203, F32649 bad flyback?

RCA tv model F32649 chassis ctc203CA6
Had shorted horizontal output transistor. Put new transistor in and had good
picture but slight sizzling sound from flyback. Replaced flyback. Had good
picture for about 30 minutes. Then raster got too bright. Backing off on
screen control gives pretty good picture, but focus control has to be
readjusted to one end and affects brightness when it is adjusted. And
picture is not as good as it was during first 30 minutes.
Bad new flyback? Only alternative I can find in Tech archive is possible
burned crt socket and possibly bad crt.
