That model is difficult to troubleshoot. When there is nothing obvious on it we sub the power and deflection boards. If that doesnt point to the problem, it is in the deck unit. As far as mechanical problems go, we have had noisy mode switches and a broken pin on the die cast lever that goes from the cam to the front loading mechanism. We have had some where a regulator circuit on the deck had defective components and some where the micro and other ICs were damaged, and a couple that we could never get to work. On the deflection board, near the top, we have had broken solder joints. We have had a couple where the 115 volt B+ was too high. That is adjustable on the power pcb.
