I just uploaded TX826ZD.ZIP to the members area, didn't have the TB version but maybe this one will help. ************************************************** Jim Myers Since 1972 Telrad Electronic Services Co. The one I replaced the HOT with a S2000AF because that was the number of the original removed, plus CP08, CP68, DP02 and TP15 (used a 2SD1138 with leads bent to fit- I didn't have RCA original or ECG31 in stock), also soldered around the board. Fired set up on variac at 95Vac and it comes on but pulses really fast, like about 4 times a second. Is my TP15 the problem or do I have to fire it up at 120V, or do I still have a component problem? I haven't worked on this chassis type before. The other set I replaced the same components plus RP28 (2.7, 5W) and I used a 2SD1886 for the HOT (specs match the original S2000N removed) and again, a 2SD1138 for TP15. This set fires up at 95Vac and runs steady but the HOT waveform has an extra step in it on the falling edge of the pulse, about half way down which doesn't look normal compared to most HOT waveforms in other chassis. Is this normal for the TX826? If so I'll test run it to see if TP15 and the HOT hold up. So far I've only left the set on for about 10 seconds. Yes I know there are techs who will say "just forget about these." Well, I've been thinking of giving up on the whole shop. THanks for any help. -- Gary McCartney McCartney Electronics Guelph Ontario Canada Est. 1984 email: gary (at) number63.ca ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Lost Password: http://www.tech-assist.org and select "Login Problems?".
