Hi everyone, We have a cold one here in NE Ohio, today. They are actually forcasting snow showers for this evening! Anyway, here's what I have: an RCA Projection, M# P52955 (Chassis # PTK195W1B). When we go to turn this on, the high voltage comes up, then down after 1 second. What is happening is that the RUN/STBY line from the micro is going low, about 1 second after turn on. This turns off the deflection circuits, etc. When this happens, the VCC lines, + the reset on the micro remain stable. I've unplugged the TV Guide module; the problem remains. This was a lightning strike. I'm leaning towards changing the micro, the EEPROM, and U14701 (regulator). The only thing I've found that is unusual it the main B+ supply; It measures +170V in standby, ans +145.2V in Run. I don't know if this is normal, since those values aren't given in the service manual (or I can't find them). I'm hoping that someone can give me some ideas on this, or point me in the right direction. John Myers Myers TV Service Co.
