Came in dead. Measured short across HOT collector. I do a "kit" with these when STK or HOT shows short. Ordered and installed: HOT Q4401 223942 C4402 206008 CR4402 242907 CR4403 243636 U4101 STK730-150, used OEM 223948 Fly T4401 223952 After installing above,I noted: Orig. HOT was OK. (short was measured across it in circuit), and I also did find a diode CR4106 shorted, so replaced that, too. NOW: Plugged set in,heard a raspy buzz from the SMPS. Located ,replaced C4127 (10MFD/63V,low value, read 7mfd) in smps area. Now rasp gone, but plugged in and "Hisssssss-POW!" the 100MFD/250 cap (C4107, or 107K) blew apart! Checked diode going to it, OK.New. Replaced with another cap, gets hot in seconds, would blow. Originally this cap was OK in the set. I cannot figure if I injected something,or what. Is the SMPS runnung away? Need input here. I suspect the orig. failed parts were the CR106 I found shorted and the STK in the smps. Why is this big 100MFD C4107 cap blowing??? Help.
