I posted recently about these transformers whining in 203's and 187's as
they use the same transformer, but I could imagine the 195's doing the same
thing. I soaked 1 in varnish overnight hanging upside down so I didnt have
to clean off the pins, and let it dry for a couple of days to stop the high
pitch whine. I'd have to say that the primary reason you lost the HOT was
because of the coil off of the HOT. I generally pull the extra wire over to
the nearest connecting point and get it really hot as to eliminate any
coating it may have and solder it there. I've never had a repeat this way
