Follow up. O'scope not much help, it's not intense enough.
I connected a video source (DVD) up to the Video input#1 (RCA jacks) and 
the noise flasher were there, like cable.
BUT: With the S-Video input picture SEEMS clear.
Now to troubleshoot!
