I had one of those with missing Left Channel Audio.....replaced SSB board
and Fixed.....BUT I COULDN'T ACCESS THE DARN MENU WITH CHIPPER CHECK!
Put the old board back in and attempted access with that.....could not
communicate with chipper chek.....
grrr..arrrgh
So I pulled it into shop....old board still in unit and boss turns it on,
adjusts balance (I had been dincking around with it on first visit) AND IT
WORKED FINE!
Now, to get to the point.......that old board had no left audio and it never
came back UNTIL I ACCESSED the SERVICE MENU!
If you don't have Chipper Check, try Vol down and Chan down buttons (with
the TV off) for 8 seconds and it should start and give you access....I think
that access reinitialized the EEprom, just like the older......187's? that
had no audio.
