[TechAssist] RCA 229880 IHVT NLA advice needed

Hi,
I need a 29880 IHVT fot a CTC179CM chassis. I understand they are NLA.
I've always been fearful of the replacement brands, since I had some bad
experiences with them in the '70's.
I guess theres no choices now. Are there any brands to say away from, or any
that are better than the rest?
So far, I'm seeing Asti, and Daimen.
