You replace the assembly containing the dew sensor. They have a variety of names for the assembly, like "left side flex unit, or side L connector unit". Different for each model. Takes 15 to 30 minutes to replace, depending on how many of the little plastic pieces that fall out get on the floor. Costs $17 to $40 for the assembly, depending on the model.
