Jim, youv'e obviously never had this happen to you. I wouldnt have believed it unless I saw it myself,2 heaters lit, the 3rd dead. Yes, it can happen, as with any parallel circuit. Think about it. I have also seen shorted turns on only one of the three heaters causing it to glow brightly, almost like a light bulb, just where the filament enters the gun.
