You probably have a bad little SSB module. It is a small module (stand up),
mounted on the SSM module. It is a very common failure on that set. We stock
them now, only about 49.95. They look like the Mits. PIP module, with many
more caps and surface mount IC's, like the Micro and TV Processor.

this projo,  60P8342  won't shut off,  if you hit the power is pulses on and
off,  red light blinks 4 times real fast,  will  change channels and inputs,
not sure what it is or where to start,  its in a basement,  near impossible
to get out so would like your help
