[TechAssist] Philips/Mag stereo FW530C Will not read disc.

Hi Members,
I cleaned the objective lens, but the laser will not read the disc.
The spin motor does not spin, either.
Am I looking at a new Laser,..or am I overlooking something more simple, and
less costly ?
Junk time,..or what ?
