The colors may be adjusted in any order. 2. Refer to the Lens Assembly Diagram. Loosen the fixing screw on the lens assembly so that the lens cylinder can be turned. Take care not to loosen the screw too much, as that could cause movement of the lens cylinder when tightening. Display Lens Assembly Diagram 3. Rotate the cylinder back and forth while observing the crosshatch pattern at the center of the screen to obtain the best focus point. In order to access the focus rings on the lenses, first remove the upper and lower back covers, then remove the cross piece which is secured with four screws. Replace the upper back cover to which the mirror is mounted. The small opening allows access the focus rings. 4. After completing the optical focus, tighten the fixing screw. 5. Repeat the process for each of the other colors. Use care when adjusting the green optical focus, as green is the most dominant gun and any error will be easily seen. 6. After the adjustment is complete, replace the cross piece and back covers, then repeat the Electrical Focus Adjustment if necessary. Static Focus Adjustment Adjustment Preparation 1. The preheat run should be complete. Adjustment Procedure 1. Short the 2-pin subminiature connector(s) on the appropriate CRT board to remove the colors not being adjusted in order to adjust one color at a time. The colors may be adjusted in any order. 2. Adjust the Focus VR for the appropriate color to achieve optimum focus. Refer to the Focus Pack Location Diagram. Display Focus Pack Location Diagram 3. Repeat the procedure for the other two colors.
