D1041 # MAZ22000A 20V 1 WATT ZENER
PR1005 # UNH000600A CIRCUIT PROTECT Generic IC-PN30 or IC-PF38 1.5 amp

After replacing these components measure resistance to ground from cathode
of secondary diodes in power supply
lowest reading is on +5 volt diode D1015 @ 580-1000 ohms OK
 others are over 2K ohms

Apply full AC power and check operation
DO NOT Test by starting at "O" volts and slowly increasing AC power
This will cause D1041 to short as AC is increased from Zero to about 60
volts

Subject: [TechAssist] Panasonic PV-D4744S, need part value

> Hello. I am working on a Panasonic PV-D4744S VCR-DVD combo (no TV) made
in 2004. I found D1041 shorted in the power supply. It looks like had been
replaced before. It appears to be a zener, pehaps a crowbar for the PS but
I am only guessing. Would someone have a SM they could send or at least the
value of the zener. ALso has anyone seen this problem before? TIA, John.
