BINGO!
It was, indeed C581: 33ufd@160 Volts. located on that upright PC board 
in front of the flyback. Thanks so much.
Now, an existing problem the customer was living with before this failure:
Slightly snowey,grainey picture. Like a bad balun. Worked OK thru the 
A/V inputs with a VCR customer said. I see an RF block on rear that 
splits the incoming RF cable to two internal tuners. Main and PIP. My 
bet is either the RF block is bad or one of the tuners.
