[TechAssist] Re: Panasonic CTP-3189 apedc214 no vertical

Larry, in checking the schematic, the return loop from
vertical winding on yoke at DY2 feeds back through
the Z board coil L770 and T771 with connections at
Z1-4 in and Z1-3 out of Z board and possibly a loose
connection or cold joint on Z board if coil or transformer
not open. A continuety check would be good all the
way back from the DY2 out of yoke to A71 or R460
junction with R458 and R465 and C454. Jim's note below
may be on track although didn't see any other coil on
picture tube board, just Z board.
Hope this may help.

I can't remember the exact chassis but I have found open coil located on crt
board on several panasonic/quasar that will kill the vertical deflection.
