[TechAssist] Palsonic TV problem

Hi , I'm hoping someone can help me,
I have a Palsonic TV, model number 3488,
chassis number 782-37620-010F ,
what is happening is that the stand by light is on and
the TV won't switch on using remote, which is the only way to
turn the TV on from stand by . Remote checks out ok cause I have
another identical TV and the remote control works with that.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
