Good center convergence that adjusts in "test" mode Sides are very bowed like a barrell (opposite of pincushion). with the convergence way out. Red way out worse on right, Blue out farthest on left. But both sides are /really/ bad. I read some related Mits tips on this model.Checked transistors Q8F04,Q8F06,Q8F02,Q8F03 out of ckt for leakage. All OK. Checked diodes D8F00,D8F01 for same out of circuit, all OK. Checked diode D501 same. OK. As suggested by Mits. As a test, I replaced both convergence ICs, both STK391-020. Same. I noticed after on some minutes I got a vertical arc-like distortion and pull-in from top/bottom. I resoldered all that.earlier, so not bad connection. Is this a possibility of bad yokes? I need some advice here. I can't locate the svc manual either. Phil Bader -- Philip Bader Jan Phyl TV Inc. (estab. 1976) 3420 Recker Hwy.
