I stand corrected. That's what happens when you ASS_U_ME instead of confirming. The set has a Toshiba labeled crt and tuner along with several IC's. Also the customer told me it was a 35" but I think it is actually a 32" set. I have taken the advice of several and soldered the connectors to the crt board even if they looked alright but no help. I have made a bit of progress on this. I can get a picture with the rgb driver collectors running at 146 volts by adjusting what appears to be a brightness range control. However, with scene changes it flares out of brightness stability. I am leaning towards the ABL circuit. There also is no changes in the picture when I vary the brightness or contrast but OSD indicates changes. It appears that possibly it is all controlled by the jungle chip. Without the literature, I am guessing. I would replace the chip but no one locally has it and of course the customer is expecting to have his set back today.
