Cliff- Got manual on 205 and is 'similar'. Seems all of the voltages to the 'power IC' are there- so suspect their power ic which for mine is STK 410-020. Cost about $25. Not sure I am ready to gamble that much - it could be a micro problem. Have you had to replace the STK units frequently ? > Roger G. > > > > Mr. Fix-It Harrisburg, PA 17110 WebSite- > > http://mrfixit.netfirms.com > > rogerfixit@xxxxxxxxxxx (alternate - rogerfixit@xxxxxxxx ) > > FAX 801-705-3748 ; Tel: 717-763-7098 (shop) 717-652-1703(home) On 7 Aug 2003 at 10:33, Cliff Afflick wrote: > Roger > You have a power supply problem. > Please go back into the set and repair it. > It is not hard. > Regards. > Cliff. > Double Zero > Electronics. > The trouble shooter. > sgt.cliff@xxxxxxx > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Roger G/ Mr Fix-It" <rogerfixit@xxxxxxxxxxx> > To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Monday, August 04, 2003 8:25 PM > Subject: [TechAssist] Kenwood Rcvr VR305 Shuts off > > > > > > > > Kenwood Receiver VR-305 > > Problem- Unit will power on, show display and even allow you to > > tune a station (shows'Tuned' Stereo').
