just go to their website i think it is vocopro.com they sell the
complete cd assembly for about 50 bucks, i bouht one last year I think
it's b.s that nobody speaks english there.

Test spindle motor with external voltage- probably ok
Try to find RF test point. Scope it and adjust laser output control
(usually on back side of laser - the one we are not supposed to
touch!!)
to crank up laser.
If you cant find test point, tweak control in either direction and see
if
it helps. It doesnt work now - cant get any worse.
