[TechAssist] JVC stereo model MX-GT80 need part ID for D723.

Hi members,
I have traced my problem to a shorted diode in this JVC stereo.
What can I use as a sub, to replace D723 on the Amp output board ?
I am thinking to use 1N914,...what do you think ?
I am working without a service manual,...as usual, so I don't have a part
number.
