[TechAssist] JVC camcorder-GR-AXM225U-no eject

Hello Everybody,
This came into the shop with tape stuck and gets
error message 01 or 02 and says "unit in safeguard mode-remove and reattach
battery" I hear no sound from the camcorder, no motors turning, nothing.
Reattaching the battery does not help. I have a feeling this is a common
problem but we do not do many camcorders so any suggestions?
