[TechAssist] JVC MX-J50 mini stereo, twin tape decks don'twork.

The tape portion of this mini-system doesn't work when the buttons are
pressed. The tape motor works out of circuit. Has anyone done a
similar repair on this model? It is hard to test things in circuit
because of the cramped design. TIA.
