[TechAssist] JVC HR-S4500 SVHS VCR, tape loads, head spins,but just shuts down and displays 'AUTO'.

JVC HR-S4500 SVHS VCR, tape loads, head spins, but just shuts down and
displays 'AUTO'.
Hi fellow techs,
Fixed loading cage?left side was off. Now tape goes in, video drum
spins, tape advances small amount but then VCR shuts down and displays
?AUTO?. This is my first experience with these newer JVC?s. TIA
