Just tried holding the power button on remote. Power comes on for a few
seconds, and then turns off again. This is with or without a tape as
well. I have also seen an error code "F1". Tape does eject OK.

Won't power up, Display says "Auto", won't eject.
Press and hold power button on the remote until the power comes on.

Hi fellow techs,
Fixed loading cage-left side was off. Now tape goes in, video drum
spins, tape advances small amount but then VCR shuts down and displays
'AUTO'. This is my first experience with these newer JVC's. TIA
