Steve, I think the impedance should be about 50K for most bi-polar inputs. You can use a small driver transformer found in old AM pocket radios, just connect it backwards (input to secondary-output to primary) and if secondary is tapped experiment using tap to one end or end to end for best output, should be close enough to work ok. That said you can also go to Radio Shack and pickup an eccentric button mike, cheap.
