I saw a bulletin board for broadcasters (I'll try to find it and post it
here). The one guy was saying that with dynamic bandwidth allocation they
were running 6 (six) 480i sub-channels! They also ran 1080i and a weather
radar simultaneously, which I suspect is what our local CBS affiliate (DT27)
has been doing. From what I had read they could, before this dynamic
allocation, run 4 @ 480i/p or 2 @ 480 and 1 720, or 2 @ 720, or 1 at 1080.
Whatever, the interest is in the bitstream, as long as the total is under
about 20Meg/sec.
