-------- Original Message -------- Subject: RCA 20" CTC146E power surge.shuts down in 5 sec.FIX Date: Thu, 31 Jan 2002 14:14:33 -0500 From: Phil Bader <philbad@xxxxxxxxxx> Organization: Jan Phyl TV Inc. Winter Haven, Fl. Est.1976.vioce/fax 863-299-8821 > After a power outtage, push power, hear relay click then clicks off. While on, has good HV,+140V regulated output to pin 11 of fly correct. After powering on repeatedly while checking one voltage source after another, found missing +12V run source (low at about 2V).Originates from 12V reg Q4106(emitter outputs thru CR4118,has a small heat sink). Has all volts around Q4106 but couples output thru diode CR4118. Good volts at anode, low at cathode. After isolating many paths,I changed the diode. It was bad, checked OK in ckt. CR4118 caused the shutdown. ------------------------------------------ Make your TechAssist database better!
