Just got back to looking at this set. The VCR definitely seems to be
involved. We found that if a tape is inserted, the TV runs forever. Take
the tape out, and the shutdown problem is back.

Not sure. Problem could be with the vcr. This model is identical to the
Samsung CXJ2512.
