Q14802!
I kept going back to diode CR14800 , which is a known suspect part. It
was good, but in circuit it measured a very low resistance across it.
Even cathode to ground was almost short. After lifting jumpers all
across the board starting at Cathode CR14800, I finally landed the
trouble:
Shorted transistor Q14802 (TIP122) located on a heat sink near the front
of the chassis.
Replacement of Q14802 fixed the trouble. I also pulled and checked all
scan caps, and the 6.8 mfd BP lytic C14805. Only fault was transistor.
