Ed,
If it is like the one I own. The first remote you use after plugging it
in is the one it adjusts too.
One of my older JVC's has a switch on the remote and the VCR. The
newer one adjustst to
the first code it receives after plug in. By the way, I love my old
JVC, I believe its a HR870U or
something like that. It has all the info you need on the front panel
display. No need to turn
on the TV and put it in the video mode to see what speed, channel,
mode, etc. you have selected.

Think I may have asked this before. How do I change the Code for a
newer JVC VCR. I have two sitting side by side, when the remote
talks..."both" listen. Need one on Code B.
