Keith, That is the nature of this "beast". The sound will return, if the set
is unplugged for a while. So by the time it gets to your shop, it is
"cured".
From what I understand, Thomson has not been able to find the exact cause or
cure for this problem.

RCA CTC-203AX Customer says sound will cut out while watching. Each time he
brings it in to my shop its ok. Chassis is solid when "hammered" , tuner ok
too. EEPROM ?
