I don't know if this happened because I never tried on phillips because of the torx head screws or if they've designed them differently. I went to replace the green crt on a 1 year old phillips projo and I looked in and seen 1/4" screws holding down the lens onto the chamber---soooooo like any other brand I usually take the lens off first to give myself more operating room to pull the crt. To my horror---AFTER I get 3 of the screws out---the fluid promptly pours out onto 2 of the cba's. Did these phillips allways have the 2 gaskets? Then--to my next delight in trying to get the crt out quickly---guess what? You cannot pull it out of the back of the set. You HAVE to take off the screen assy because the crt is just plainly to big to fit between the back plastic and the crt frame. Needless to say---a job that I may normally spend 90 minutes on at the most turned into a 2 day event for me---because----I removed the chassis and cleaned it---THEN found that the convergence yoke plugs are not marked on the board--that would have been a snap--but there is another wire going to the same board that has 3 sockets it could go to---At this point I was thinking about lets make a deal---socket # 1? 2? 3? argh! This all happened afte 5 pm so there wasnt a soul for me to call and get the proper locations.
