Ed- I have had 2 that did exactly that. I found a bad solder connection on pin3 of I201 in the first case and a bad crystal <X201> that also connects to pin 3 of I201. Both cases were HIGHLY intermittent and normally only occured when the set was first turned on. Shutting the set off and turning it back on restored color in both cases for the customers.
