Roger, Chances are that resistor running hot is normal. Most of the Emerson's I see have this resistor as 120 ohms...won't hurt to try that, though it is unlikely for the resistor to decrease in value to 22 ohms. Resistor looks like a 2watt - 22ohm (hard to tell between orange and red) and measures about 22 ohms.When reinstalled, set works but R506 gets quite hot.
