Dave, So you fell for the old 'name and address and we'll get back to you' did you? Does anybody know of any publication explaining the use of the tactile indicator. I had a query about it from a local Blind Peoples Association. When I was at TRAFFEX and asked at the DfT stand, but nobody there seemed to know what I was talking about, they did take my name and address, but I haven't heard anything.=3D20 Dave Land =09 Assistant Engineer =09 Street Lighting and Electrical Team =09 Community & Environmental Services Directorate=3D20 =09 Northumberland County Council =09 Dark Lane =09 Morpeth NE61 1ST =20 Telephone: (01670) 500665 =3D20 =20 Facsimile: (01670) 500670 =20 email: dland@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx =20 Website: http://www.northumberland.gov.uk -----Original Message----- =3D46rom: tcug-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:tcug-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On= Behalf Of Sharon_Healy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: 15 May 2007 09:23 To: tcug@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [TCUG] Re: PUFFIN CROSSINGS - Road Safety for Schoolchildren The same happened to me with the 'Puffin Good Practice Guide' . At TRAFFEX, I put my name down (with DfT) for the above DVD/CD ROM. This arrived safely last week but neither the DVD nor the CD Rom will operate, being identified as "Bad discs" by a variety of different machines on which I tried them. I rang the DfT enquiry line, to be transferred to "Publications" - who have not heard of this product. Can anybody advise who I can contact with regards this product which is a combined effort by the Department for Transport and County Surveyors Society=3D3F Thanks and regards Grahame Bath ........................................................................ ........
