I've been sent this message from CSS - it might be of interest to some = of you: =20 This message is sent on behalf of Steve Lawson from the AA:=20 Dear Members,=20 Earlier this year we were able to provide CSS with some advance = information about the European Road Assessment Programme (EuroRAP). Since then, and largely as a result of the wide public and professional interest in EuroRAP, I understand that my Bert Morris has been in touch = with the CSS Traffic and Safety Working Group and that there are plans for = the AA and/or AA Foundation and to meet both it and CSS senior officers in the coming months. It occurred to me that the wider CSS membership, and especially those at = the grass roots, may like to know now that there will also be an = opportunity to hear more about EuroRAP at a conference we are organising on Monday 25 November at the Institution of Civil Engineers in London. We are assembling a group of speakers from Britain, Sweden, the = Netherlands and the European Commission to address some of the road safety, crash protection, consumer and communication issues involved in this work. = There will be a charge of =A350 to cover costs. It looks like being an = interesting day and we will be circulating further details next month.=20 Best wishes =20 Steve Lawson EuroRAP project manager on Behalf of the AA Foundation for = Road Safety Research =20 ------------------------------------------------------------------- Planning Transport & Highways, Sheffield City Council, Howden House 1, Union Street, Sheffield, S1 2SH Tel: (0114) 273 6174 The information in this email is confidential.
