I talked to Michel at Mad Cow and brought that subject up with him. He said
to use Goo Gone or Acetate would do it. I have both and thought I would tackle
it later. I want the fins done!! I still have 3 fillets, and a piece of hard
wood for the Rail buttons to do. I need to get all that done before I button
up the aft end. (The last motor tube mount and the Motor retainer.)
I got a Ad from Mad Cow. They are having a HUMP sale at 4pm Wednesday on 2
Rocket kits. Big Rockets with 75mm motor tubes, 4” dia. Body Tubes, Dual
Deploy.. Looks good!!! Level 3 time… Larry Taylor

I see you haven't yet gotten the gunk (tape residue?) off your fins.
It took me over an hour to clean it all off. I tried a bunch of things to try
to clean it off including Goo-Gone, IPA, Mineral spirits and lacquer thinner.
The only thing I found that even kind of cut it was WD-40. Still had to use
some Scottch Bright to get some of it off. Of course then I had to scrub them
all with Dawn and rinse them in IPA.
But they look pretty and clean now. Too bad I'm going to scuff then up, put a
couple layers of CF over them, and stuff them in a vacuum bag. But hey, no
lumps. :-)

Here is a photo with motor tube installed. The fins need to be ground down to
fit into slots. Having a grinder with a flappy type grinding disk sure helped
in getting it to fit the slots. It got dark so I could not take a photo of the
fins installed. I only got 9 out of 12 fillets epoxied inside the body to motor
tube/fins today. Larry Taylor

Yeah, I wish. Too short a burn. My Little dog is almost the same rocket and it
barely touchs 3400' AGL with that load :(
Thats a painted finish (2K urethane). At least, it was :-)

Hey James,
I think that you forgot a "0" after the "3". I think the K2045 has a little
more oomph than 3K in a 6 pound rocket. Lol

Here's the RASAero and Rocksim files.
It's about a 6lb rocket loaded with a K2045 and will do about 3K.
CP is optimal at 30" from the nose. It will need about 4 oz of mass up front;
I plan to put electronics (MARSA) and some Lipos up there.
I'm thinking 40' mylar streamer drogue.
