We show here that hydroxychloroquine is efficient in clearing viral
nasopharyngeal carriage of SARS-CoV-2 in COVID-19 patients in only
three to six days, in most patients. A significant difference was
observed between hydroxychloroquine-treated patients and controls
starting even on day3 post-inclusion. These results are of great
importance because a recent paper has shown that the mean duration of
viral shedding in patients suffering from COVID-19 in China was 20
days (even 37 days for the longest duration) [19]
Our preliminary results also suggest a synergistic effect of the
combination of hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin. Azithromycin has
been shown to be active in vitroagainst Zika and Ebola viruses [20-22]
and to prevent severe respiratory tract infections when administrated
to patients suffering viral infection [23]. This finding should be
further explored to know whether a combination is more effective
especially in severe cases.
Such results are promising and open the possibility of an
international strategy to decision-makers to fight this emerging viral
infection in real-time even if other strategies and research including
vaccine development could be also effective, but only in the
future.
*We therefore recommend that COVID-19 patients be treated
withhydroxychloroquine and azithromycin to cure their infection and tolimit
the transmission of the virus to other people in order to curbthe spread of
COVID-19 in the world.*
*Further works are also warranted to determine if these compounds couldbe
useful as chemoprophylaxis (sic. the use of drugs to prevent disease)to
prevent the transmission of the virus, especially for healthcare workers.*

I just got off the phone with my buddy in Milan, he said that in Rome
nobody was taking it seriously (much like the spring-breakers you saw on TV
last night), so that is why they enacted martial law. He's pretty
distraught on this topic because His uncle died as a result of his daughter
being sick and he caught it, so I guess this is what we may see next (we
haven't peaked yet).
Now here is some good news, which he said we will hear about today or
tonight - supposedly in France they used a combination of some
anti-malarial drug and Azithromycin which was 100% effective. I don't know
if it is true or false but that is what he told me I would hear about soon!
Other good news is that both China and the US are now in Italy setting
up emergency shelters and are working together to help treat patients and
learn more from ground zero.
I suspect we will all here some more news on this later ....

Something that young people like your employee might want to consider
is that a lot of young folks will end up in the ICU. Older people die at a
higher rate, but it doesn't mean that young people are immune or will
always just get mild symptoms. Some will still end up being hospitalized,
intubated, and on a ventilator. They will just have a better chance of
surviving the ordeal than their parents or grandparents. Stay home, old
folks, young folks, and kid folks.

Haha - I bet! My strategy on bug control has been to buy the big tarps
at Horror Freight
(as Marino called it) and make sure you put that down like 10 minutes
before you paint. Over here if you start between 10am to high noon, you
won't have to do the old tweezer trick to pull them off. Of course, not
having all this shitty pollen in the air helps as well :-)

Titos), now here is a good one from an old timer (my Dad) ... he told me
about the USAF missile command center stationed in the
Kodiak islands (KLC) (300 miles from Russia) and how during the 50's
and 60's the Radar operators watching screens all days would just listen

smooth jazz to stay calm. You even hear about now in the NYC Zoos for the
big cats and monkeys to calm down ...
