Have had 2 of them. Know their rep is bad; but ran one for about 45,000 miles till it started pumping oil really bad through the rings Was still strong on the bottom end but pumped oil so bad it was fouling the plugs bout every 300 miles. Still have the engine stored and am going to tear it down one of these days and just see what it looks like on the inside. Other one went in a vehicle that I sold. Put about 3,000 miles on it and it was still running good. I think what they do is build up an engine from reground stuff and used parts that barely pass muster. Secret is: know your engine builder, there are a few good ones around with strong reputations (and a lot of bad ones) that use the correct parts and know what they are doing, and last of all, be prepared to pay for it.
