At Murrays age, you would think this rebellious streak would wear off. -----Original Message----- From: Denis Dodson <coocoo@xxxxxxx> To: tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Fri, Nov 5, 2010 8:35 am Subject: [tcb] Murray vs the Deer So, I was coming back from an evening in Eureka Springs, full on dark, Murray running really well, but I was wondering if my tach is reading true WHEN A DEER WITH ANTLERS JUMPS FROM THE SHOULDER AND INTO MY PATH. I veer, he turns away, too late. BAM!. I saw him run away in my rear view, I think I only caught him in the head. I’m sure he isn’t feeling so good. I am thinking, “I hope he doesn’t die slow in pain”, but I am no way dressed to climb into the woods and find this animal, like Daniel Freakin’ Boone, and, if I do find it what am I going to do to put it out of it’s misery? Beat it with a rock? Strangle it with my belt? Bite it in the neck? More likely, as I bent over the poor thing, it would gore me with it’s arrow sharp antlers and get up and leave me, the one dying in the woods. It popped out Murray’s headlight, dented the metal under the headlight and put a dent the size of my ass in the passenger door, which won’t close correctly now. I had just spent five nights doing a new stereo, repairing heater boxes, cleaning up the oil hoses, new valve cover gaskets…He was running well. Look like it’s time for body work.
