[tcb] For what it's worth

On the way to T@P my 71 Westy started to die at stop signs and red lights. I
pulled the Pict 34 when I got home, shot carb cleaner through it , pulled the
jets and all that. Still no idle. I checked the solenoid - it was good. Pulled
the pilot jet and looked on the end - there were 2 specs of crud there. Tapped
it on a mirror - shot carb cleaner through it. Re-installed and the bus idled.
Eureka! I'm happy as Denis is with the Ducks being #1 now!
Wanted to pass on this experience to the group. There is a whole tread on the
samba about the pilot jet causing lots of agony with the Pict34. (Being screwed
in too far is the most common problem)
