I don't know how anything might work, but Steve at Wolfgang has seen just
about everything and they manufacture a lot of what they sell. That does not
mean that he cannot be full of it, either, but I would try what he said.
What have you got to lose?

Or you could change the tranny to bone stock ;)

okay so I talked to Steve at Wolfgang. He said something that I am still
trying to get my head around. He said he has a '57 Bus and used two chrome
alloy push rod tubes and some washers and hooked it up that way. He used
'64-'67 e brake cables. I still cannot understand how running it through a
push rod will take up like 10" inches of slack somehow on the later cables.
He also suggested two alternatives: looping the cable with a cable tie and
re-shwedging the threaded end onto a cable after cutting it by a hydraulic
co.

I have not measured the difference in length needed to attach the end to the
e-brake arm yet but the later '59 cable length is only 6.4 inches longer and
the latter cables are even longer like 10" so I do not understand why he
would suggest I use the later cables.

Can someone who is experienced in geometry explain this to me? I will make
you a sandwich at the next transporters at the point. Promise!
