Nate is who built my beam in the 63 DC. He knows his stuff. Yes there's extremes, for example George at the "Butcher Shop" has a 6" bus beam, but it mounts to the inside of the frame and you lose turning radius. I watched a Kombi do a 10 point turn to get into a parking place at the Winter OCTO meet with one of those beams. That brings up a point, when you narrow, turning radius will always diminish. With my 944 brakes and spindles, it pushed the mounting offset for my wheels another 1 1/2 on a side. So, I still have a good turning radius and disk brakes. -----Original Message----- >From: Jammy <damhippiekustoms@xxxxxxxxx> >Sent: Jun 7, 2006 11:53 AM >To: tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >Subject: [tcb] Re: Confused and Curious > >yea they narrow the beams 4"- 8" 5" is a good number cause it works better >with spindals and has a better ride from what I have been told by Wagenswest >here's the link to them http://www.wagenswest.com/ type 2s are all he deals >with > >Will Wood <evilscientistboo@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: LOL you mean the bus that >doesn't turn right? or left for that matter?
