Strange that guys as some of us have it working fine.I actually even downloaded
something to try it out, Arena and it was great. I would prefer for screen
size to watch a TV programme on my desktop as I have some vision but if I was
out somewhere and wanted it, it would be fine and certainly the sound quality
was excellent.

It won’t work on my n86 either, I’ve uninstalled the version that came with
my phone, and installed the version from the BBC website, and it still won’t
work.

  Cheers

Maybe it had to do with your firmware update. I updated my firmware just
at the end of last year on the Nj96. What version firmware did or do you have
on your N96.

      I just don't get that!

I had the N96 and the IPlayer never worked on that either.

I didn't have the IPlayer on the phone the first time so, installed it.

Then on subsequent N96 phones, I installed the app from the beeb site and
still no access.

      RAAAAR!!

Yes when it asked me to install the iPlayer app, I did and that is why it
works fine for me. Hate to say this but it works on N96 as well as e71. With
regard to the link I sent, yes it will work and open immediately on the PC. I
might have to phone them up and see if they have a mobile version.
Incidentally I know it is not Talks related Paul but the font you use for your
e-mails, is great for me. What way do you achieve this? Perhaps you would
send me the reply off list.

Oh. OK. Well your player link started working straight away on my PC.

I don't know how people are getting the IPlayer to be accessible though.

I went into the IPlayer application and it was as inaccessible as ever.

        I went also to:

        bbc.co.uk/iplayer

But, as I thought, that page just asks you to install the IPlayer app.

So, I don't know what is different for other people and I am as jealous
as hell!

        Cheers.

Oh sorry it was just that I did not get it working myself and that was
why I sent the link, wanted to see if anyone else could get it to work. No the
app is probably different. I have the app for the iPlayer but not the uPlayer.

          Hi Eleanor

The link you provided is great if you want to listen to UTV - Catch
up on UTV Live Tonight on the uPlayer. Which starts playing some news from
Northern Ireland but, it doesn't seem to be the app you were talking about.

          Thanks though.

I sent you off a list a link, I was wondering it is uPlayer and was
wondering if that might be accessable through a mobile phone. Do you know or
does anyone else know.

              Hello,

I'm a little confused here. I found the application to be
completely accessible. After installing it, it just appeared as a regular
website interface with no accessibility problems to speak of. All I had to do
was select the program I wished to watch, and the program began playing. I was
able to use the options menu to control playback and exit as required.

the Nokia E71 and N95.

It works great with talks, and I would urge anyone who hasn't got
it yet, to get it now.

I currently use it on both my Nokia E71 and N95 phones. I have
had now problems with it at all.
