Thanks for the explanation. I hadn't heard of these devices before, but
don't think I'll be investing in one! It sounds a bit too risky for my
liking! I think two phones is by far the safer option.

I bought a dual sim holder off eBay recently but when my friend read the
instructions it looked like you had to take out the existing sim holder and
replace it with the new one, you then had to cut both of your sim cards in
half and place them in the holder in such a way so that they made contact.
I wasn't at all happy with this as I thought that there was no guarantee of
a tight fit or continued contact so the phone might not be available to me
in an emergency so i binned it and went back to using two phones, and that
was after we'd murdered a spare voda PAY card as an experiment. Not sure
I've explained this very well, anyone else tried it. Cheers!

Hello,
Please could someone explain what a dual sim holder is? I currently have
two phones, one with a pay as you go sim in it and one with my contract sim.
Would a dual sim holder allow me to have both sim cards in one phone and
switch between the two easily? I can't imagine that it would be possible to
switch sims without turning off the phone, removing the battery and
physically taking out one sim and putting the other in, but I'd be
interested to know if a dual sim holder makes this process any easier.

Make sure that talks is switched off before beginning the unlocking process
as know someone who experienced severe problems on a 6600 after they had it
unlocked with talks running. I bought a dual sim holder for my 9500 but
didn't get on with it so resorted back to using two phones. Cheers!
