Hi Deon, the only thing I'd add to what Mark has said here is that I'd
suggest you make sure that Talks isn't actually running at the time the
unlock procedure is carried out, in other words make sure you execute the
talks off or stop talks command first, depending on which version of Talks

I unlocked my 6600 running Talks without any unpleasant consequences. Of course Technology being as unpredictable as it is there's no absolute cast iron guarantees, but you should 99.9 % be ok. HTH
