Amie with the Premium version you can use the Object viewer. This is not available to you on the Standard version. The Object Viewer enables you to label icons. Some phones do not automatically read the e-mail icons, Unread, Deleted, Has Attachments, but with the Object Viewer these cand be labelled. If you have a Braille display you can use it in conjunction with your phone with the Premium version of Talks. There is also the facility to use the Dictionary. Now people alwlays get confused about this Dictionary. It is not a Dictionary for looking up the meaning of words, rather it is for the correct pronouncation of words. An example here might be where you are writing about the doctor, as in medical doctor and you choose to use the abbreviation Dr. Then Talks standard calls this drive. With the Premium version you can put in Dr and have it say Doctor. Again days of the week can be said out in full rather than Mon, Tu, Wed, Thurs and Fri. Hope this is making some sense. There is an application which will do the same as d2go. I am going to send you this off list for you to try out. It is free Lol! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Amie Slavin" <amie.slavin@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

Presumably it's meant to be better in other ways, is it? I'm probably a very basic user; only using the phone and text and address book functions, so guessing I wouldn't even notice most premium features, but still interested, if anyone who has it feels like telling me...
Thanks for clarification :o) -----Original Message-----From: talks-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:talks-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Eleanor Burke

I was wondering how that price (£50) compared with the cost of upgrading to the Preimium version. So £50 is the price of the upgrade? Thanks for the info. Any idea what it would cost to upgrade from Talks standard to premium? What else is better with the premium version? If I remember correctly you have Talks Standard from Vodafone. Pay ££50 to upgrade and you will have d2go and can listen to your talking books. I recall telling you this before on the list and you did not feel that the £50 upgrade was worth it for that.----- Original Message ----- From: "Amie Slavin" <amie.slavin@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

HI Sorry if this is hi-jacking the thread but I've never heard of daisy to go. Presumably it's for playing DAISY books on the phone with Talks, but please can someone tell me more, like how to find out about it, what it costs, etc? Sorry if this is a stupid question, or if I've missed info already covered on the thread. Thanks for all help. It seems to contain a later version of the DAISy2Go manual than I have. I know I have asked this question before, but can anyone tell me how to invoke the sleep timer? I can see how to set it, but cannot make the application play for the amount of time I have set. This manual does mention that there is an option for setting Sleep Timer, but does not, as far as I can see, tell me what I want to know. Thanks Pele West No virus found in this incoming message.
